#eNaira @Central Bank of Nigeria

Hello, I guess you are doing great with work and the family.

OK, apologies for the plenty of grammar, you can hold the British responsible.😄

AnyWho! #eNaira @Central Bank of Nigeria

I acknowledge and respect the challenge the lady spoke about the MNOs earlier considering Phone Numbers, I never saw it from that angle, but ultimately also, I believe the NIN-SIM card linkage has solved that problem she highlighted, maybe not all, but majorly.

Two (2) categories of information are required for the initial onboarding, no matter how you flip the coin.

(a) Means of Identification - National ID/NIN Slip, Driver's License, PVC, International Passport.
Each of these has its respective and unique identifiers right.

(b) Commercial Bank and Bank Account Number

The combination of these two (2) items above, is a major step in the right direction. Both categories need to be TRUE before proceeding to the Next Stage.
BVN can be verified and approved by the Banks, when they are eventually mapping or when activating customers' eNaira profiles or accounts, as the case may be.

Remember, the Banks will eventually be the sole determinant of the funds' transfer from the default and current bank account, to the cryptocurrency (eNaira) bank account. The bank's leverage is huge here, so why not take advantage of it?

After all, many of them will just add a small process to be completed by customers already on internet banking, and you have a lot of people here.

The initial onboarding information is out of line, all those information is equally important, but you will definitely get them "more accurately", along-the-way while also not stressing the Nigerian people.

Lastly, the database of mobile phone subscribers has to be carefully categorized.

Stay within the range of 35 million to 40 million Nigerians on the smartphone onboarding model. Double-check your UNIQUE USERS data stats with Audience Insights (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), you will have about N32m, and of course, the majority are on Android OS, over 90% users.

Take advantage of the Google Authenticator for 2-Step Verification, you can still receive codes without an internet connection.

Then finally, USSD for others i.e feature phone users e.t.c. to hit the 200m target or milestone as the case may be.

Finito! 👌

When am I getting my bottle of Coke? 🎁😊

I hope this was useful and informative. 🙏😊

Thank you. 🇳🇬

Africa Code Week 2017

Over the next 25 years, Africa’s working-age population will double to one billion, exceeding that of China and India. In the meantime, the digital skills gap is widening: while coding has the power to put millions of young Africans on the path to successful careers and empower them to build sustainable growth, companies in Africa are currently struggling to hire enough qualified IT talent. So the question is not whether a full life cycle of skills support for young people in Africa needs to be created, but when. Africa Code Week says: NOW.
