Who am I becoming?

This is worth re-sharing I guess?

A great and successful young Nigerian business guru “David Ayodeji Jaiyeola” posted something on LinkedIn about one (1) month old now thereabout, and this stirred up some interesting conversation.

I am just a bit fascinated about how my comment was ranked “Most Relevant” according to LinkedIn.

I am wondering if I am becoming more controversial nowadays or the algorithm now likes the cute “BLACK” Ade, sorry I mean the cute “INDIGO” Ade 😂? or;

Perhaps the algorithms are just like me too! – They are very constructive and they speak THE TRUTH no matter what! ☺️

Of-course, we all know that they make their various decisions leveraging on informed and posted comments or actions of other people and;

They say it as it is or better-still drop it like it’s HOT just like Snoop Dogg or Lion said:
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot

Anyways, the post was a question and reads:
Can you take a job that runs 20hrs a day for 7 days of the week and pays N1m per month?

And here was my comment that:

Well as for me, it's not a function of the job or the pay really:

"It’s who am I becoming under the job" that matters.
If you are getting better, improving career-wise, character-wise, meeting up with your obligations e.t.c. and you are happy, who cares?
It’s who you are becoming while you undertake the job that matters.
What's the point of having more money and you are not fulfilled or happy?
or on the other hand;
What's the point of taking lesser pay and yet you are disgruntled?
Peace of mind and happiness are among the luxuries of life in general, I do not advise anyone to trade it.
Thank you.

I’ll tell you – this kind of philosophy is so POWERFUL.

If you are working with people whose lifestyle and attitude towards life is plagued and endemic on lies, cheating, and mischief e.t.c.

Just give yourself some little time working in that kind of environment and reflect on your lifestyle – you’ll be amazed at the discoveries.

The philosophy is simple:
Many people may want to visit Dubai, but they DO NOT wish to go through the airport.

Jim Rohn said it best:
WE GO THE DIRECTION WE FACE, WE FACE THE DIRECTION WE DESIGN, DIRECTION DETERMINES DESTINATION, AND YOU CANNOT CHANGE DESTINATION OVERNIGHT. 🥰💖

Always remember this:
“It’s who you are becoming while you undertake any job that matters.”

And don’t let people who have never visited Dubai tell you how beautiful “Burj Al Arab” is, or how tall and visually appealing “Burj Khalifa” looks.

It’s simple CAUSE & EFFECT and always remember that people can only give you what they have;
In the real sense –
They cannot give you what they do not have - period.

And here is a good place to end this write-up but always ask yourself this from time to time:

“Who am I becoming facing this direction?” 💖

Thank you! 🙏🥰☺️

Something outrageous yet relevant, maybe "Jobs to Be Done: When Your Product Strategy is a Hitman"?

Introduction Picture this: you, in your pristine business attire, meticulously assembled to convey an aura of success – pressed slacks, shiny shoes, maybe even a power tie if you're feeling extra daring. Now, visualize that perfectly curated image lighting on fire. Not a raging inferno, mind you, just a persistent, smoldering burn right around the seat of your pants. It's subtle, insidious, and smells vaguely of burnt ambition. Welcome, dear listener, to my world circa, oh... let's say five years ago. I wasn't an executive. Not even a manager, really. I was cog #3542B in the grand corporate machine, churning out spreadsheets, drowning in meetings, and generally being spoken to in a language only vaguely resembling English. Buzzword bingo was the national sport in those hallowed halls. "Jobs to be Done." "Disruptive innovation." "Blue ocean strategy."  I'd nod earnestly, scribbling notes like my promotion depended on correctly parsing th...
