JUST NOTE THAT GLOBAL DISRUPTION IMPACTING NIGERIA MAY NOT BE GOING AWAY ANYTIME SOON - CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE - EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED BY ADEROGBA OTUNLA

In 1769 German dramatist and philosopher Gotthold Ephraim Lessing published: “In nature, everything is connected, everything is interwoven, everything changes with everything, and everything merges from one into another.” Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the country has faced several sanctions and boycotts from the Western world and its allies, a move described as an "all-out economic and financial war" to isolate the Russian economy from the global financial system.  The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has estimated the damage done by the sanctions triggered "the greatest supply shock since at least the early 1970s". It will retract Russia's economy by 10% in 2022. HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT RUSSIA 1. Russia's vast geography is an important determinant of its economic activity, with the country holding a large share of the world's natural resources. 2. It has been widely described as an energy superpower; as it has the world's large

Big Brother Naija Season 7

I am not a big fan of the TV program Big Brother Naija (BBN), even though I adore and respect the traction the TV program generates annually, and also how it captivates the attention of a huge number of Nigerian youths and many Nigerians in general. I was inspired yesterday by seeing the No. 2 housemate on the TV show, the 43rd Miss Nigeria. Beauty Etsanyi Tukura (BET) is an inspiration. Her drive and ambition are contagious, and she's made it her life's work to grow herself and her brand, into a global force in Nigeria. BET is driven by her ideals: she believes that hard work and dedication will always get you where you want to go. Her determination and perseverance have helped her become successful despite all odds. She is driven by the desire to make a difference in her community and the world, and laser-focused on achieving her goals. Congratulations on such an outstanding feat, and it's also a good inspiration for the great people of Taraba State. #BeautyWithBrains #

Data and Osun State Governorship Election

“If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” — Albert Einstein What happened in the Osun State Governorship election is a result of multiple factors. 1. You can all remember that on the 25th of February 2022, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the 2022 Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law. The new electoral law has some key changes that will impact elections in Nigeria moving forward, and of course, this will make rigging of elections difficult, and almost impossible, and hence incumbents can be defeated with all the power and leverages. Among others, some of the major critical changes are: (a) Voters accreditation and simultaneous voting. (b) Elimination of the incident form. (c) Electronic transmission of results and use of technology. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deserves some accolades for the Osun State 2022 Governorship election. 2. The DAVIDO FACTOR AND EFFECT on PDP in Osun State. In disruptive strategy, the “social cause” is

Role of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK)

“There were 5 exabytes of information created between the dawn of civilization through 2003, but that much information is now created every two days.” ~ Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman at Google So, looking at five (5) contestants for the role of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) - Kemi Badenoch, Penny Mordaunt, Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, and Tom Tugendhat. I started with the trends in the UK for the past seven (7) days. Google Trends categorized the UK data into England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Well according to the Nigerian Trends data, Kemi Badenoch has supporters from Edo, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, FCT, and Rivers State.  It's good to share that Rishi Sunak has great f
