To the Esteemed Consumer Protection Department (CPD) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) & the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA).

I write with a mix of concern, frustration, and hope. It has come to my attention that a select group of individuals, possibly from within our trusted banks and government institutions, appear to be obstructing my financial transactions. My relationship with United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, for instance, has been marked with multiple attempts to schedule video validation meetings, only for them to be continually blocked. Another attempt is scheduled for tomorrow, August 18th, 2023.

Beyond these financial barriers, my personal safety has been compromised. My accommodation has been intruded upon more than once, and I am acutely aware of individuals dressed in distinctive white outfits, notably present at yesterday's breakfast. Rest assured, the hotel has recorded evidence of these occurrences.

This challenge began back in 2021, and I can't help but wonder: is now the time when certain factions believe that more extreme measures, such as attempts on my life or framing me, are the solution? The tactics at play seem neither wise nor beneficial to anyone.

I implore those in positions of influence: rather than engaging in such harmful practices, why not harness your power and resources in constructive ways? For instance, leveraging long-term loans from the Bank of Industry to fund sustainable, profitable businesses that can benefit future generations. Using power for positive change creates legacies, while causing harm only perpetuates negative cycles.

As I pen this, I await my alert from UBA, and in a lighter note, Lionel Messi continues to thrive in his field.

I pray for understanding, reconciliation, and justice. I genuinely hope that all parties involved find clarity and choose a path of righteousness.

Warm regards and God bless.

Africa Code Week 2017

Over the next 25 years, Africa’s working-age population will double to one billion, exceeding that of China and India. In the meantime, the digital skills gap is widening: while coding has the power to put millions of young Africans on the path to successful careers and empower them to build sustainable growth, companies in Africa are currently struggling to hire enough qualified IT talent. So the question is not whether a full life cycle of skills support for young people in Africa needs to be created, but when. Africa Code Week says: NOW.
