The modern day Steve Jobs

As you'll know, I affirm that I LEARN from the BEST, and invariably what MOST OF THEM embrace is "We should always LEARN by DOING!"

Let me give you a reason why you should APPLAUD Dr. Temitope Agbana, Em! I mean why Pastor T. DESERVES SOME ACCOLADES.

He is SPECIAL, and AT LAST his favorite wit “win by righteousness”

In January 2019, the U.S. News & World Report published an article on some RESEARCH BREAKTHROUGHS on the title: “Smartphones Can Now Diagnose These Health Problems”

Source:

https://health.usnews.com/health-care/for-better/articles/2019-01-18/health-problems-that-smartphones-can-diagnose

BREAKING NEWS: One of that RESEARCH BREAKTHROUGH PROJECT is OWNED by Dr. Temitope Agbana.

I believe it is an OUTSTANDING FEAT!

I came across the publication as I was researching for the adorable MedTech Africa.

Well, some people from the University of Maiduguri, Faculty of Engineering may still recognize the face, and for those that were in SMS, once you can remember either:

(a)    Kayode, I guess you have received the message and I attached lots of reference picture, even when we met the elder statesman, Shettima Ali Monguno (late) e.t.c. or;

(b)   Wemi, the one that sings like Sinach or Eben, I don’t know her favorites; or

(c)    John, I attached his swaggy picture with the great Nigerian striker who currently plays for Manchester United, Odion Jude Ighalo (hmm! social distance violated in the picture), and I heard he’s now boxing too.

Well John, hmm! please don’t start with Tyson Fury oh! Remember what he did to Wilder, or what he might do to AJ! ehen! Lol.. or;

(d)   Engr. Smith Atoyebi, SMITH COMPUTERS

Yes, I guess I can give a short preamble of “Silicon Borno” or “Silicon Maiduguri” as the case may be.

Pastor T, Oh! Sorry I mean Dr. Temitope Agbana, I am not yet familiar with the new title.

Well, here are the references to his works below, before I continue the “Silicon Borno” or “Silicon Maiduguri” story as the case maybe.

Summary on the Silicon Borno or Silicon Maiduguri Story:

1)       Smith Computers (Engr. Smith Atoyebi) was more like Eric Emerson Schmidt, the former CEO of Google back then in Maiduguri, and then Dr. Temitope Agbana and Kayode Agbana were more like the founders of Cisco Systems, right?

And it’s fair enough to say Bolajoko Atoyebi (then) should be like Merissa Mayer of Yahoo right? You guys can argue it below.

2)      Well, they can say I am biased but Professor Peter Ogedebe was more like Bill Gates of Microsoft Inc, because the University of Maiduguri Computer Center was like Microsoft’s HQ right? Well, you can also debate it below. Lol.

3)     Undisputed, JayBest was Amazon or Ali Express as you have it today, or let me say it in another way. JayBest (Jude Umeokeke) was more like Jeff Bezos of Amazon, but I know those things come from China in reality, so I will have to add Jack Ma, Ali Baba or Ali Express, to balance it and keep business moving. Lol…

4)     I guess Dr. Bukar Ali Usman was more like Larry Ellison of Oracle.

5)     But over the years, the network guru Dr. Temitope Agbana, moving from configuring IP addresses, to work on GSM networks and now to inventing a malaria diagnosis tool using smart phone.

I guess it’s fair to call him the modern-day “Onye Eze” Steve Jobs.

Congratulations to Pastor T once again!

And, if you notice in the storyline, I did not mention myself and Muffy right?

So, who did you think I was saving the role of Sergey Brin & Larry Page of Google for? Lol...

And possibly, I forgot names like Sir Alhamdu Bello e.t.c. and I did not reference the roles of Elon Musk or PayPal, Steve Wozniak, Steve Ballmer e.t.c. then of-course, the Silicon Valley story will never be complete.

And it seems there is a CORRELATION between the name STEVE and TECH FOUNDERS hmm!

Just to let you know that Maiduguri, Borno State was HOT! Yes, both the WEATHER and TECH.

Something outrageous yet relevant, maybe "Jobs to Be Done: When Your Product Strategy is a Hitman"?

Introduction Picture this: you, in your pristine business attire, meticulously assembled to convey an aura of success – pressed slacks, shiny shoes, maybe even a power tie if you're feeling extra daring. Now, visualize that perfectly curated image lighting on fire. Not a raging inferno, mind you, just a persistent, smoldering burn right around the seat of your pants. It's subtle, insidious, and smells vaguely of burnt ambition. Welcome, dear listener, to my world circa, oh... let's say five years ago. I wasn't an executive. Not even a manager, really. I was cog #3542B in the grand corporate machine, churning out spreadsheets, drowning in meetings, and generally being spoken to in a language only vaguely resembling English. Buzzword bingo was the national sport in those hallowed halls. "Jobs to be Done." "Disruptive innovation." "Blue ocean strategy."  I'd nod earnestly, scribbling notes like my promotion depended on correctly parsing th...
