Fuel Subsidy

Based on these assumptions, the following is a possible estimate of the number of SMBs that could be created to address the projected 50% unemployment rate in Nigeria over the next 4 years:

Number of unemployed people: 210 million * 50% = 105 million people

Number of SMBs needed to create 1 million jobs: 1 million / 5 = 200,000 SMBs

Number of SMBs needed to address the unemployment rate: 105 million / 200,000 = 525,000 SMBs

This is just an estimate, and the actual number of SMBs that could be created will depend on a number of factors, such as the level of government support, the availability of financing, and the overall economic environment.

So the question is not whether a full life cycle of skills support for young people in Africa needs to be created, but when. Africa Code Week says: NOW.
