THE ANSWERS YOU SEEK MIGHT BE IN THE STORY BEHIND THIS SMILEY EMOJI

THE ANSWERS YOU SEEK MIGHT BE IN THE STORY BEHIND THIS SMILEY EMOJI

Sometimes, I wish I have some answers or better-still I have some helpful solution(s) to offer. But as you’ll know everything has its peak and we all have limits – but the definition of “peak and limits” are subjective, and this is where the story begins.

Quick 5 seconds test:

Take a look at the smiley emoji attached to this post, what can you see?

I don’t know about you, but generally everyone can see an emoji with a big smile and large eye balls gazing up in a dreamy state, and also having its two hands supporting both sides of the cheek.

Well, also it can be imagined that the emoji is starring at something imaginative and adorable, and funny enough it can also be literal – the emoji is starring at nothing, after all somebody designed it to look that way, and the overall objective is simple. Emojis are aimed to be used in instant messaging (chat) conversation for specific and unique expressions – that’s it period, don’t get all emotional about the emoji please!

So, now we have arrived back at my earlier point “subjective” - based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions.

Understand that it rains on everyone – rich, poor, black or people of color, white, purple, short, tall, chubby e.t.c.

Cut the Crap! - pick yourself up, self-reflect and evaluate all your works and actions from a sincere point of view, and how you got to where you are currently, either its a desired destination or an undesired one – this is where you don’t want to make another great mistake “Never Ever Lie To Yourself”.

Look at your options, what do you have at your disposal at the moment, and also look at what you do not have – then look at what you wish to have – and also look at what it will take you to get to it – Understand that you have to do some work, most times the some great hard work, because it’s going to take actionable steps in a particular direction to bring certain things to fruition – this is the honest truth, and ensure that you do the real-work, the hard-work. Avoid cutting corners and taking short-cuts, trust me it will always catch-up with you – it’s just a function of time.

Understand the law of average, meaning some of your good efforts at some point will go to waste on genuine project(s), which has nothing to do with you – just ensure you do the right thing.

Also, some of your good efforts will pay off in other areas as you embark on the uncharted journey, understand the dynamics of the mystery.

You have to stick to the principles that got you to your desired result(s) and ensure that your approach is consistent and genuine “Never Ever Lie To Yourself” – this is very important.

Read about the amazing Chinese bamboo tree, here is a summary:

The growth pattern of this tree is remarkable. Plant a bamboo sprout in the ground and for four or five years (sometimes much longer), nothing happens. You water and fertilize; water and fertilize, over and over again but you see no visible evidence that anything is happening. Nothing!

However, in approximately the fifth year things change dramatically. In a six-week period the Chinese bamboo tree grows to a staggering ninety feet tall – that’s right, ninety feet tall! Wikipedia suggests that the tree has been measured to grow 122 cm (48 inches), in a 24 hour period and can reach a maximum growth rate of 99 cm (39 inches), per hour for short periods of time.

It seems incredible that a plant that lies dormant for years can suddenly explode with growth, but it happens without fail with Chinese bamboo trees.

Starting your own ideas, projects or business is very similar.

We often water and fertilize; water and fertilize our ideas over and over again and for months nothing seems to take place. However, by staying focused and working towards your goal, remarkable growth can take place in a staggering manner within a short period of time – just like the Chinese bamboo tree.

Moving forward, this is also important, either you like it or not people will always talk about you – good, bad, average e.t.c. learn to deal with it, provided you have done the right thing, you should be fine and be at peace.

Just always remember to treat people the way you want to be treated – Karma is REAL.

In addition, constantly challenge yourself towards continuous improvement and imitate the footsteps of great people or people you admire, with kindness, generosity and tolerance they will support you and show you the way.

But don’t make the grave mistake on the assumption that kindness, generosity and tolerance = WEAKNESS.

Finally, learn to dance like no one’s watching!

Something outrageous yet relevant, maybe "Jobs to Be Done: When Your Product Strategy is a Hitman"?

Introduction Picture this: you, in your pristine business attire, meticulously assembled to convey an aura of success – pressed slacks, shiny shoes, maybe even a power tie if you're feeling extra daring. Now, visualize that perfectly curated image lighting on fire. Not a raging inferno, mind you, just a persistent, smoldering burn right around the seat of your pants. It's subtle, insidious, and smells vaguely of burnt ambition. Welcome, dear listener, to my world circa, oh... let's say five years ago. I wasn't an executive. Not even a manager, really. I was cog #3542B in the grand corporate machine, churning out spreadsheets, drowning in meetings, and generally being spoken to in a language only vaguely resembling English. Buzzword bingo was the national sport in those hallowed halls. "Jobs to be Done." "Disruptive innovation." "Blue ocean strategy."  I'd nod earnestly, scribbling notes like my promotion depended on correctly parsing th...
