GDays 2017

Our mission with Google Business Group (GBG) GDays was simple “Help people discover their business problems” and “Why businesses fail?”. We also verified businesses on Maps and Search with ‘Google My Business’. We nailed it using “Design thinking with Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) methodology”. Thanks to Google, Erica Hanson, Marcus Foon Harvard Business School, Clayton Christensen's Disruptive Strategy Program. #GBG #GDaysAbuja17 #GBGAbuja #GBGGrowthHacking #HBX. The market is always predictable when you focus on ‘Jobs-to-be-Done’. Stats – Whole day event with about 150 participants who are SMB owners, Startup founders, Business professionals, Developers and Entrepreneurs. Participants now understand that: (1) CAUSALITY is everything. (2) Jobs-to-be-done persist overtime. (3) You CANNOT disrupt yourself, and; (4) You have to start on the NEW before the OLD gets sick. Thanks – Aderogba Otunla, GBG FCT – Abuja. Interested in the next event coming up? In the meantime, the digital skills gap is widening: while coding has the power to put millions of young Africans on the path to successful careers and empower them to build sustainable growth, companies in Africa are currently struggling to hire enough qualified IT talent. So the question is not whether a full life cycle of skills support for young people in Africa needs to be created, but when. Africa Code Week says: NOW.
